The further I climbed, the more I felt removed from the rest of man's world.....
At last I reached a place that was completely overtaken by the wild, (in the sense that I saw little of man's passing) where the raw earth was completely exposed. As far as I was concerned, I belong to the wild now and my strength increased as I breathed it all in. And upward I climbed across the granite and shale rock, ice and snow, exploring my surroundings as well as my mere self.....to reach within and beyond.....to the top of pinnacles.
