Star Gazing

Not lonely is the night alpine sky:

Pegasus of the Andromeda Galaxy and nearby Cassiopeia thrust image forth like that of hanging tranquil lanterns on a ninetenth century street. Ah, the cool blue-white glow to the reddish-yellow galactic bow, they the stars of a billion funances dimple in the heavens beyond. What stories . . . Arcturus, Betelgeuse, Capella and Vega, the very bright stars could tell? Though there is a black curtain veil surrounding me, illuminated stellar images or constellations dazzle the eye and stir inner thoughts: behold mighty figures of warriors like Orion poised for battle in the never-ending cosmic flow.

And I but a simple speck of flesh and bone not so mighty, but here in this zone . . .
