Up through the old growth forest I climbed to the frozen rocky outcrop of Lonesome Point, where the view was enchanting. My only company consisted of a lone set of deer tracks in a patch of less-frozen snow, that of two huge mountain ravens circling overhead, and the far off howl of a coyote. Then, I made a hasty descent down through the shadowy forest in the fading light as darkness fell in around me. How enchanting it be . . .
