.....and there stood I with a lofty-snowy top that reached toward the heavens, a mountain to behold: Jack Mtn. with Flat Little Jack at my right, "and the poets used their pens to write about me and my surrounding brothers and sisters - peaks of the great North Cascades." And as day passes to night, they will come to me seeking solace and recreation.....

"You are all ants say I, but most of you are good ants and I enjoy your walking scratch upon my back."
