Up 4,000 feet I mustered once again for the view that I knew was there. When I arrived at the saddle, I was not disappointed. For down in the hollow among the heather and rockslides was an enchanting emerald lake with a splendid view beyond to Downey Mountain.....the reason and or foray of my trek.
