Early Morning

The fog rises

as tho steam were drifting

up from the lake

floating slowly

higher - higher

soft, billowy

like frosting on a cake.

The white barn

sits silent and steady

amid all the trees

suddenly enveloped

by wisps and tendrils

curling with gentle ease.
