As the silence of the evening crept in around us and the shadows descended upon the deep ravines, sundown could be seen beyond the opposing mountains: the right northern flank of Green Mtn., Hurricane Peak through Horse Lake Pass, Buckindy's left shoulder and snow-coned Baker center and afar. And into the blue-black night we were absorbed.....
