Craig Falls - Boulder River Wilderness

At last, my struggle didn't seem so fruitless...I had dropped off the Three Fingers Trail, clawed my way up the impenetrable jungle of the Boulder River (nearly 8 hours) and found myself standing there in front of it...the awe-inspiring cascading waters of the falls. There was a great sense of accomplishment, but more so an overwhelming feeling I was witnessing something very special and that few men had, at least up close. And that itself sent a shiver up my spine. I felt as if I was in some lost world! Only the bear and deer tracks were signs of time passing. Humbled by thoughts of really being alone, I gathered strength from within of the conquest I had achieved, and more so strength from my wild surroundings.....
