From Mt. Baker Wilderness

I came across a lush meadow caressed by the master tiller himself, well in view of the mountain, where to my surprise I found a dozen elk beds pungent with their smell. I sat down in one of them to take in the grand view that the elk had had, and to rest my mind, body and soul. I drew closer to the silence surrounding me, and humbled by the raw power of nature that lay before me . . .
