In search of some elevation on a partly blue-hued sky day, we set forth upon the flanks of Mt. Shuksan and climbed ever upward. Soon, the forest gave way to heather, rock, and then snow and ice. Over my left shoulder stood the magnificent mountain called Koma Kulshan, more widely known as Mt. Baker. Always awe-struck by the view of Baker, we (Glen Lee and I) came to the conclusion, once again, that we really live in a grand state where the views of mountains are extraordinary.....
